PXMP2 A gene on chromosome 12q24.33 that encodes a peroxisomal membrane protein thought to have pore-forming activity and contribute to peroxisomal membrane permeability. It interacts with PEX19, a cytosolic chaperone and import receptor for peroxisomal membrane proteins and SIVA1.
