PPIG(redirected from PPIase G)
PPIGA gene on chromosome 2q31.1 that encodes peptidylprolyl cis-trans isomerase G (cyclophilin G), which, as with other PPIs, accelerates protein folding. It catalyses the cis-trans isomerisation of proline-imidic peptide bonds in oligopeptides. It may play a role in folding, transport and assembly of proteins, as well as in regulating pre-mRNA splicing.
