ATP2B4(redirected from PMCA4b)
ATP2B4A gene on chromosome 1q32.1 that encodes a magnesium-dependent P-type ion transport ATPase, which forms an aspartyl phosphate intermediate during the reaction cycle. P-type primary ion transport ATPases remove bivalent calcium ions from eukaryotic cells against very large concentration gradients, and play a key role in intracellular calcium homeostasis.
