PRKAR2A

A gene on chromosome 3p21.3-p21.2 that encodes one of the regulatory subunits of cAMP-dependent protein kinase, which transduces activating signals by phosphorylating different target proteins. PRKAR2A regulates protein transport from endosomes to the Golgi apparatus and to the endoplasmic reticulum.
