PIK3R3

PIK3R3

A gene on chromosome 1p34.1 that encodes a regulatory subunit of phosphoinositide 3-kinase. PIK3R3 binds to activated (phosphorylated) protein-Tyr kinases through its SH2 domain and regulates their kinase activity; it is highly expressed in the brain and testis.
