This project is unique in the sense that renowned semiconductor equipment companies are collaborating with photonic integrated circuits experts (in the same clean room) to develop customised equipment for
PICs. Having equipment manufacturers, researchers and foundries working together is the cornerstone of the open innovation model that has the potential to accelerate the
PICs technology growth.
Many
PICs are listed on local share exchanges and generate detailed annual reports for sponsors and local industry regulators.

Hassan Fawaz, managing director at Lela Agro, said the company will manufacture more than one million
PICS bags in 2013, selling most in Nigeria but exporting about 100,000 to neighboring countries.
According to the municipality, nearly 6,000
PICs have now been certified and most of them work in high-risk establishments like restaurants and cafeterias.
Film Council put up 1 million [pounds sterling] ($1.6 million) toward the
pic, and BBC Films jumped onboard the project soon after.
"Going into it everyone was a little leery about how concrete it would be, but it was very well laid out," according to David Barber, who was promoted from manager to
PIC of the firm's Macomb, Illinois, office during his tenure in the program.
"But, eventually, all companies running school canteens will have to have
PICs before they renew their permits next time," he said.
* There's a new fund for Brazilian
pic distribution internationally and a federal government incentive for international co-productions is gaining traction.
Open on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and one Saturday each month, the Pump House is managed by the core group of
PICS, which numbers about 25 partners, and is staffed by other volunteers who sort, stock, and operate the shop.
