PAK7

A gene on chromosome 20p12 that encodes a PAK protein of the serine/threonine p21-activating kinase family, which is an effector of Rac/Cdc42 GTPases. PAK7 regulates cytoskeletal dynamics, proliferation, and cell signalling; it is is primarily expressed in the brain where it promotes neurite outgrowth.
