osteitis pubis
A chronic osteitis due to repetitive stress to the symphysis pubis by the muscles that attach in the groin area, causing pain with simple daily movements and activities over the pubis symphysis. It occurs in such athletic activities as distance running, soccer, football, skating, and hockey. It is best treated with rest and anti-inflammatory medication.
