SLCO4C1(redirected from Organic anion transporter M1)
SLCO4C1A gene on chromosome 5q21.2 that encodes a protein which mediates Na+-independent transport, and possibly excretion via the kidneys, of organic anions—e.g., digoxin, ouabain, thyroxine, methotrexate and cAMP. SLCO4C1 may be involved in sperm maturation by enabling directed movement of organic anions; it is primarily expressed in the kidneys.
