thrombophlebitic splenomegaly

An obsolete term—also known as Cauchois-Eppinger-Frugoni syndrome or Opitz syndrome—that formerly dignified congestive splenomegaly due to splenic vein thrombosis. This condition is not the same as the Smith-Lemli-Opitz or BBB syndrome.
