National Research Council

a body representing the (United States) National Academy of Sciences, National Academy of Engineering, and the Institute of Medicine, and established to further knowledge and advise the U.S. government; abbreviated NRC. It issues a series of publications on the nutrient requirements of each species of domestic animal, laboratory animals, primates and fish.
