nanoparticle

(nan′ŏ-part″ĭ-kĕl) [ nano- + particle]
A microscopic particle (< 100 nm in diameter) containing a drug or a radiologic contrast agent used in cancer treatment to identify and eradicate tiny metastatic tumors.
