NOD2(redirected from NOD-like receptor C2)
NOD2A gene on chromosome 16q21 of the Nod1/Apaf-1 family that encodes a protein with two caspase recruitment (CARD) domains, which is expressed on white cells in the peripheral blood and activates NFKB protein in response to intracellular bacterial lipopolysaccharides. NOD2 mutations are linked to Crohn’s disease and Blau syndrome.
