TERF1(redirected from NIMA-interacting protein 2)
TERF1A gene on chromosome 8q21.11 that encodes a protein which is an integral component of the telomere nucleoprotein complex. It is present at telomeres throughout the cell cycle and inhibits telomerase, acting in cis to limit elongation of chromosome termini.
