The publicly funded system in Wales which provides free healthcare to people in Wales under the Welsh Minister for Health and Social Services. NHS Wales provides emergency (A&E, casualty) services, primary care through GPs and community health services, secondary care through district general hospitals, and tertiary care (e.g., cardiac and neurosurgery) at specialist hospitals (e.g., University Hospital of Wales in Cardiff, the largest hospital outside London and third largest in the UK).
