NFATC1

A gene on chromosome 18q23 that encodes a DNA-binding member of the nuclear factor of activated T cells (NFAT) family, which play a central role in inducible gene transcription during the immune response. NFATC1 is an inducible nuclear component and a major molecular target for immunosuppressive drugs, such as cyclosporin A.
