NCK2

A gene on chromosome 2q12 that encodes an adapter protein which associates with tyrosine-phosphorylated growth factor receptors or their substrates. NCK2 maintains low levels of EIF2S1 phosphorylation by promoting its dephosphorylation by PP1. It plays a role in ELK1-dependent transcriptional activation in response to activated Ras signalling. It forms a complex with PPP1R15B and PP1, and it interacts with AXL, DDR1, DOCK1, EGFR, FASL, LIMS1, PAK1, PKN2, SOS1 and TGFB1I1.
