The NCHPEG focuses on the implications of genomic medicine, its translation into clinical practice, and the education of health care professionals.
NCHPEG recently partnered with the Genetic Resources on the Web (GROW) Working Group to consolidate existing Web-based genetic information and to develop a search engine to enhance efficient access to this information.
NCHPEG members are currently crafting a document to promote the translation of its genetic competencies into patient care and to validate the importance of a basic foundation in genetics for all health care professionals.
