SPAG5(redirected from Mitotic spindle-associated protein p126)
SPAG5A gene on chromosome 17q11.2 that encodes sperm-associated antigen 5, which is an essential component of the mitotic spindle and required for normal chromosome segregation and progression to anaphase. SPAG5 is required for chromosome alignment, normal timing of sister chromatid segregation, and maintenance of spindle pole architecture.
