Main en Trident

A short broad hand with a fore-shortened middle finger, resulting in equal length of all digits; the characteristic shape of the index and ring finger. This results results in a distinct pattern of separation of the fingers, the 2nd with the 3rd, the 4th with the 5th similar to the hand salutation of Star Trek’s Spock or, in an earlier era, likened to Neptune’s trident, a finding classically seen in achondroplasia
