MYO16

MYO16

A gene on chromosome 13q33.3 that encodes actin-based motor molecules with ATPase activity, which—as do other unconventional myosins—plays a role in intracellular movements. It is thought to target the catalytic subunit of protein phosphatase 1 during brain development.
