PSMC2

A gene on chromosome 7q22.1-q22.3 that encodes a 26S protease subunit involved in the ATP-dependent degradation of ubiquitinated proteins. It interacts with NDC80, PAAF1, SQSTM1 and HIV-1’s Tat, modulating Tat-mediated transactivation.

Craig Williams, who manages MSS1, said: "James, who plays for MSS3, actually got involved completely by accident.
Lantronix also offers two other terminal server products, the EPS4UF with four serial ports and one parallel port and the MSS1 single-port serial server.
The redirector software can also be used with the Lantronix MSS1, a 1-port serial server.

The MSS1 is targeted at the fast-growing market for connecting non-traditional serial devices - such as manufacturing equipment, security alarms or bar-code scanners - to Ethernet networks.
The MSS1 is ideally suited for these new applications and makes Lantronix a complete provider of terminal server products for these customers.
In a traditional application, the MSS1 connects a serial-based device, such as a "dumb" computer terminal or security monitor, to an Ethernet network.
With the MSS1, we don't need to support serial services any longer - anyone who wants to use a terminal can go anywhere on campus where there's an Ethernet port," he said.
The MSS1 operates like a single-port terminal server, converting serial data into Ethernet data to allow serial devices to use standard Ethernet connections to exchange data with host computers.
