ARID5B(redirected from MRF2)
ARID5BA gene on chromosome 10q21.2 that encodes a transcription coactivator, playing a key role in adipogenesis and liver development by forming a complex with phosphorylated PHF2. The PHF2-ARID5B complex targets promoters and activates transcription of target genes. It acts as a coactivator of HNF4A in liver and is required for adipogenesis, regulating triglyceride metabolism in adipocytes by regulating expression of adipogenic genes.
