MDK

A gene on chromosome 11p11.2 that encodes a retinoic acid-responsive, heparin-binding growth factor which is expressed by various cell types during embryogenesis. MDK promotes angiogenesis, cell growth and cell migration, and it is involved in early foetal adrenal gland development.
