MILIS

Multicentre Investigation of the Limitation of Infarct Size. A clinical trial which evaluated, primarily, the effect of digoxin on managing patients post acute MI.

Conclusion
MILIS revealed a 28% greater cumulative mortality in patients who received digoxin vs 11% in patients who did not receive digoxin; the former group had more base-line characteristics predictive of mortality than did their non-digoxin-treated counterparts.
