TAOK2(redirected from MAP3K17)
TAOK2A gene on chromosome 16p11.2 that encodes a ubiquitous serine/threonine-protein kinase, which is involved in membrane blebbing and apoptosis, DNA damage response and the MAPK14/p38 stress-activated cascade. TAOK2 phosphorylates itself, MBP, activated MAPK8, MAP2K3, MAP2K6 and tubulins. It is highly expressed in the testes and brain.
