MAPK13(redirected from MAP kinase p38 delta)
MAPK13A gene on chromosome 6p21.31 that encodes a member of the MAP kinase family, which integrate multiple biochemical signals and are involved in cell proliferation, differentiation, transcription, regulation and development. MAPK13 is phosphorylated and activated by MAP kinases—especially MKK3 and MKK6; it is closely related to p38 MAP kinase and both are activated by pro-inflammatory cytokines and environmental stress, and in turn phosphorylate downstream targets.
