The first three cantos appeared in Poetry: A Magazine of Verse in three issues (June, July, August 1917) and then together as "Three Cantos" in Pound's Lustra (1917).
His own poetry during this period was published in Exultations (1909), Personae, Proven c a (1910), Canzoni (1911), Ripostes (1912), and Lustra. While in England he became deeply interested in Oriental literature, publishing in Cathay (1915) his adaptations of the translations by Ernest Fenollosa (1853 - 1908) of the great Chinese poet Li Po.
