Bouveret syndrome - paroxysmal supraventricular tachycardia; - gastric outlet obstruction due to gallstone passing into the duodenal bulb through a choledochoduodenal or cholecystoduodenal fistula.

In 1893 Leon Bouveret first described this syndrome, in which one or more gallstones pass into the duodenum through a biliary fistula causing gastric outlet obstruction.
Bouveret syndrome, in contrast to gallstone ileus, is characterized by the cephalad or proximal migration of a gallstone into the duodenum resulting in a persistent gastric outlet obstruction as originally described by the French surgeon Leon Bouveret in 1896.
