(law'rĕnts mūn), [MIM*245800]disorder characterized by mental retardation, pigmentary retinopathy, hypogenitalism, and spastic paraplegia; autosomal recessive inheritance. This syndrome is to be distinguished from Bardet-Biedl [MIM*209900]: in the past, the two syndromes have been lumped together under the designation of Laurence-Moon-Bardet-Biedl syndrome.
