Laparoscopy in which the abdominal wall is lifted or elevated without insufflating gas into the peritoneum. It is designed to avoid the respiratory and circulatory complications sometimes associated with pneumoperitoneum and in cancer surgeries, to reduce the spread of malignant cells to the puncture site.
