LPAR5

LPAR5

A gene on chromosome 12p13.31 that encodes a rhodopsin-type G-protein-coupled transmembrane receptor, which transmits extracellular signals from lysophosphatidic acid into cells, mediating a wide range of intracellular activities.

Similarly, in rat sarcoma cells, overexpression of Lpar5 significantly reduced motility and suppressed MMP2 activation.
AA treatment was also verified to also target proliferative factors LPAR1, LPAR3, LPAR4, LPAR5 and LPAR6.
Two pairs of primers (unmethylated and methylated) for each of the lysophosphatidic acid receptor 5 (LPAR5), paternally expressed 10 (PEG10), and solute carrier family 30 member 3 (SLC30A3) genes were designed using the MSP-specific default parameters of the MethPrimer program [27].
On the other hand, LPAR4, LPAR5, and LPAR6 are expressed widely but at relatively low levels.
