CLEC4A(redirected from LLIR)
Also found in: Acronyms.
CLEC4AA gene on chromosome 12p13 that encodes a C-type lectin domain protein possibly involved in regulating immune reactivity by modulating dendritic cell differentiation and/or maturation, acting via its ITIM (immunoreceptor tyrosine-based inhibitory motif) to inhibit B-cell-receptor-mediated calcium mobilisation and protein tyrosine phosphorylation. CLEC4A is expressed primarily in haematopoietic tissue—e.g., dendritic cells, myeloid cells, B cells, neutrophils and monocytes/macrophages.
