LEFTY2(redirected from LEFTYA)
LEFTY2A gene on chromosome 1q42.1 that encodes a member of the transforming growth factor beta (TGFB) family of cytokines that plays a role in determining left-right asymmetry during organogenesis and may also play a role in endometrial bleeding.
LEFTY2 mutations are associated with left-right axis malformations, especially in the heart and lungs; some types of infertility are associated with dysregulated LEFTY2 expression in the endometrium.
