CACNG1(redirected from L-type calcium channel gamma polypeptide)
CACNG1A gene on chromosome 17q24 that encodes a gamma subunit of
skeletal muscle 1,4-dihydropyridine-sensitive voltage-dependent calcium channel, an integral membrane protein, which plays a role in excitation-contraction coupling. CACNG1 is a member of a functionally diverse protein subfamily of the PMP-22/EMP/MP20 family, and co-locates with two family members to act as transmembrane AMPA receptor regulator.
