identifies estrogens in the urine by extracting urine with ethyl acetate, purifying, then subjecting to bioassay as in the Allen-Doisy test.

An obsolete method for detecting oestrogens in the urine, where it was first extracted in ethyl acetate and then injected into laboratory rodents.
