Krause's corpuscles

Spheroidal, laminated, delicately capsuled endings to nerve fibres, found in the skin and mucous membranes. They are receptors for cold stimuli. Also known as end bulbs of Krause. (Wilhelm Johann Friedrich Krause, 1833–1910, German anatomist)
