(kôrn′bûrg′), Arthur 1918-2007.
American biochemist who shared a 1959 Nobel Prize for work on the biological synthesis of DNA. His son Roger David Kornberg (born 1947) won a 2006 Nobel Prize for his studies on the process of transcription from DNA to RNA in eukaryotes.
