Kissing Sequestra

A term referring to an articular lesion characterised by extensive denudation of cartilage and joint fusion, in cases of resolving tuberculous osteoarthritis. Kissing sequestra are classically located in the knee, accompanied by extensive cortical destruction, in the middle of which are 2 preserved islands of apposed—‘kissing’—sclerotic bone, visualised on a plain film
