Kempner rice-fruit diet(kemp′nĕr)
[Walter Kempner, U.S. physician, b. 1903]
A rigid salt-restricted diet used in treating hypertension. It consists of rice, fruit, and sugar for no more than 2000 kcal/day and 7 mEq of sodium per day.
