KITLG(redirected from KL-1)
KITLGA gene on chromosome 12q22 that encodes KIT tyrosine kinase receptor ligand, which plays a key role in regulating cellular activities (such as: cell survival and proliferation; haematopoiesis; stem cell maintenance; gametogenesis; mast cell development; migration and function; and in melanogenesis) by activating multiple signalling pathways.
KITLG mutations cause familial progressive hyperpigmentation.
