ISABEL

An advanced Internet artificial intelligence computer program for the differential diagnosis of children's disorders available for doctors to use free of charge. ISABEL is a charity at http://www.isabel.org.uk. It was founded by the stockbroker Jason Maude after his three-year-old daughter Isabel nearly died from toxic shock and necrotizing fasciitis when doctors were slow to recognize these complications of chickenpox. The charity is currently working on the extension of the scheme to adult patients.
