The 24-member Executive Board of the
International Monetary Fund has recommended that the age limit for managing director be removed.
"Aoun Thursday appeared to raise the possibility of Lebanon having to go to the
International Monetary Fund for help if government reform efforts failed to bring enough improvement to state finances," Reuters said.
According to experts, the government must ensure implementations on economic policies after the deal with the
International Monetary Fund (IMF).
"The report of the
International Monetary Fund on Lebanon's monetary and financial situation should be completed before mid-July.
"The central bank has not filed an application for a loan to the
International Monetary Fund," CBI said in a statement published on its official website, Trend reports.
Earlier on Friday, Umar said that Pakistan has been facing a crisis of balance of payments for a long time and we went to the IMF due to some previous wrong decisions"."The programme with the
International Monetary Fund would soon be completed forPakistan," he said while addressing a ceremony inWashington.
Meanwhile,
International Monetary Fund (IMF), ensuring support to Pakistan of all sorts of coordination, has commended the country's economic reforms.
The Spring Meetings of the Boards of Governors of the World Bank Group and the
International Monetary Fund bring together central bankers, ministers of finance and development, parliamentarians, private sector executives, representatives from civil society organisations and academics to discuss issues of global concern, including the world economic outlook, poverty eradication, economic development, and aid effectiveness.
Earlier, Finance Minister Asad Umar, on February 21, had said that talks were underway with the
International Monetary Fund (IMF) on a regular basis.
