During the latter part of the period, especially following the publication of data from the International HapMap Project in 2005 that compares variation between populations from Africa, Asia, and Europe, the SC valence proportions shift back to more cRR and less sSC, and the overall proportion of SC valence diminishes.
To design the array, researchers at the Bio-X Center of Shanghai Jiao Tong University and Beijing's Fuwai Hospital took advantage of more than 10 million validated markers in the Axiom Genomic Database, including content drawn from the 1000 Genomes Project and the International HapMap Project.
The DNA-based information provided by the Human Genome Project, International HapMap Project and the Human Variome project gave an impetus to understanding the nature and consequences of human genetic variations, specifically in conferring susceptibility to common multifactorial diseases (1-3).
