Orthopedics An implantable threaded spinal fusion “cage” used for vertebral fusion in degenerative disk disease; the device is first packed with a previously harvested autologous bone graft and implanted between 2 vertebrae; spinal bone grows and fuses with the bone in the device to form a permanent fusion.
