A widely use projective personality test in which 10 vertically symmetrical ink blots are presented to a person or patient to evaluate what they ‘see’ in the ‘picture’
ink blot test Any of several psychological tests, such as the Rorschach test, in which the subject indicates his or her perception of a random-shape pattern produced by folding a sheet of paper over a large ink-blot. It is doubtful whether the method has any real objective analytic value independently of the qualities of the analyst.
