familial amyloid polyneuropathy type II(redirected from Indiana-type amyloid neuropathy)
familial amyloid polyneuropathy type IIA former subdivision of hereditary amyloidosis clinically characterised by neuropathy beginning at the hands and frequent carpal tunnel operations. Vitreous opacities occur early in the disease; impotence and renal insufficiency are rare. FAP-II is regarded as a type of transthyretin amyloidosis.
