iliotibial tractA thickening in the sheet of tough fibrous tissue (fascia lata) that covers the outer side of the thigh. The iliotibial tract extends upwards from the prominence on the upper part of the main lower leg bone (tibia) (the lateral condyle) to the crest of the pelvis (the iliac crest).
