ITGA11 | definition of ITGA11 by Medical dictionary
ITGA11 A gene on chromosome 15q23 that encodes an alpha integrin—integral membrane protein consisting of a heterodimer—one alpha and one beta chain, which participates in cell adhesion and cell surface-mediated signalling. The I-domain containing alpha 10 combines with integrin beta-1 chain to form a collagen type-II-binding integrin expressed in cartilage.
