The newly adopted IEEE 802.15.4 standard, commonly known as "Zigbee," addresses the 868 MHz, 902 to 928 MHz and 2.4 GHz ISM bands, and ensures interoperability between devices.
Several frequency channels are usually available in WSN (16 channels in 2.4 GHz ISM band [[20]]); if the frequency spacing used for RSS measurement is larger than the coherence bandwidth of the channel, these measurements are uncorrelated [[8]].
To facilitate rapid evaluation of Pasternack's 60 GHz waveguide modules, Pasternack has partnered with Vubiq[R], an industry expert in designing 60 GHz RF systems, to create a development system that makes it easy to design new products and applications in the emerging millimeter wave ISM band. This system makes it easy to effectively operate the Company's modules with a user-friendly USB/PC interface to test I/Q (vector), FSK and ASK modulation for 802.11ad or 802.11aj or other proprietary applications.
Using non-destructive coding techniques, CSR's aptX audio codec for Bluetooth A2DP preserves the full "wired" audio quality of stereo transmitted over the 2.4 GHz ISM band.
As the same ISM band is also used by a variety of commercial equipment--Bluetooth, WiFi, some cordless phones and car alarms, the probability of radio interference is quite high.
The antenna supports all standards working at the 2.4GHz ISM band, including Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and Zigbee, and was developed especially for Bluetooth headsets and mobile handsets.
Applications include 2.4-GHz ISM band uses, wireless Internet access, point-to-point repeaters, streaming video, wireless local loop, wireless bridges and point-to-multipoint receive sites.
FlexScan phased array antennas are being developed, initially for applications in the MMDS band (2.6 GHz), ISM band (2.4 GHz) and other point-to-multipoint (PMP) bands (including 3.5 GHz).
The Bluetooth radio operates in a globally available 2.4 GHz ISM band, ensuring communication compatibility worldwide.
